Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of mgdoutdoorelecc.shop and to any order you place with MGD OUTDOOR ELECTRICAL LIMITED (trading as Weathervolt). By ordering you accept these terms.
1. Our products
We sell plug-in and place-on outdoor power-safety and weatherproofing accessories. Every product is designed to clip over, plug between or lay on top of existing power — none require fixed wiring. Product images are illustrative; the delivered item's printed ratings apply.
2. No installation service; use limits
We do not sell products that require hard-wiring or fixed installation, and we do not provide installation. Any fixed outdoor supply, buried cable, socket installation or consumer-unit work must be carried out by a qualified electrician to your local wiring standard (for example BS 7671 or the equivalent where you live). You are responsible for using each product within its printed IP rating, current rating and plug standard, and for not overloading or modifying it.
3. Shock protection is additional, not absolute
Portable RCD adapters and leads provide an additional layer of shock protection. They reduce but do not remove the risk of electric shock, do not replace fixed RCD protection or correct earthing, and must be tested before each use. Socket testers indicate common faults only and do not replace professional inspection and testing. We make no claim of absolute protection against shock or against any weather condition.
4. Orders, pricing and payment
All prices are in USD and shown before checkout. An order is accepted when we confirm dispatch. Payment is taken securely by Stripe. We may cancel and refund an order if an item is unavailable or a pricing error occurs.
5. Weathervolt Club membership
Membership is a recurring subscription billed monthly or yearly in USD. It grants member pricing, shipping and service benefits while active — there are no credits or stored value, and benefits do not carry over. You can cancel anytime; benefits continue until the end of the paid period. Quarterly consumable shipments already dispatched are not refundable.
6. Returns and cancellation
Consumer cancellation and return rights apply as set out in our Returns and Refund policies. For safety, electrical items that have been powered up cannot be returned unless faulty.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence). Subject to that, our liability for a product is limited to the price paid, and we are not liable for misuse, overloading, modification, or use outside a product's printed ratings or of fixed electrical work carried out by you or a third party.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
